A bus route which runs through Surrey will be extended to provide a new connection to Gatwick Airport.

Service 420 currently runs from Sutton to Whitebushes, just south of Redhill.

However, from 31 August, the service will be extended to run via Horley and Gatwick Airport's South Terminal, terminating in Crawley.

Metrobus, which operates the route, added that the 420 will no longer serve Whitebushes but the area will continue to be served by route 460 instead.
