Stolen motor vehicles worth 拢160,000 were recovered after a chase where a driver rammed a police car.
Police intercepted a stolen Audi RS 6 on the A45 in Ryton-on-Dunsmore which was travelling in convoy with a stolen BMW M3 Competition, on Sunday.
The BMW was abandoned on the A45 and the driver arrested after police used a stiger device to get the vehicles to stop. The Audi's driver then rammed a police vehicle in an attempt to get by, but became boxed in and the driver arrested.
The Audi had been stolen in an aggravated burglary in Northamptonshire and the BMW was stolen from Shropshire on 16 July.
Police said a 23-year-old man, from Birmingham, who was driving the Audi was also wanted for a separate aggravated burglary offence, which happened on Hillmorton Road in Rugby on 8 July, and was also wanted for a recall to prison.
The Warwickshire force said it was able to recover 拢160,000 worth of stolen motor vehicles thanks to teamwork between itself and West Midlands Police CMPG (Central Motorway Police Group).
