A Nottinghamshire town's outdoor market has been moved as part of major works aiming to improve public spaces.
Sutton-in-Ashfield鈥檚 market had traded from Portland Square but this would now get a facelift featuring raised planters, trees, seating and grassed areas.
After an interim period on Low Street, the market will be relocated to Fox Street, where a previously derelict site is being turned into a car park and events area.
The work, funded as part of Ashfield District Council 拢62.6m Towns Deal, is expected to be completed early next year.
Work in Portland Square, which starts on Monday, will also see new paving to improve access and ambient lighting.
