Man arrested after car crashes into McDonald's
A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a car crashed into a McDonald's restaurant in Doncaster.
South Yorkshire Police were called at around 16:00 BST on Saturday to reports a white Vauxhall Astra had crashed into the side of the building in Thorne Road.
A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
A 31-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, remains in custody.
Following the incident, the fast food restaurant was evacuated as a safety precaution, a police spokesperson said.
They said officers from British Transport Police, the fire service and paramedics had all responded to the incident.
