Passenger seriously hurt after bus brakes sharply
A passenger has been seriously injured after a bus stopped abruptly in Wakefield.
The vehicle was travelling on Ings Road at about 09:35 BST on Tuesday when it occurred, West Yorkshire Police said.
It is believed the bus driver was forced to brake sharply in an incident involving an unidentified vehicle, resulting in injuries to a number of people on board.
The seriously injured passenger was taken to hospital, officers said.
Road closures were put in place around the Kirkgate area, with police asking for anyone who witnessed any part of the incident to get in contact.
