Man charged with murder bid after chainsaw incident
A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident involving a chainsaw in Renfrewshire.
Two police officers were hurt in an incident on Glasgow Road on Monday. A vehicle also crashed into a stationary police car.
Footage shared on social media showed a man pursuing a police officer brandishing a weapon shortly after the crash.
Liridon Kastrati, 30, from Paisley, made no plea when he appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
He was also charged with four road traffic offences, breach of the peace and of being in possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
