Passengers using Jersey Airport are being reminded to allow more time than usual for their journey as schools finish for the summer.

Ports of Jersey said travellers should expect longer queues from Friday but staff would be on hand to ensure people get to their flight as quickly as possible.

The recently reintroduced temporary 100ml limit remains in place, the authority said.

Passengers who need to book assisted travel were also asked to contact their airline before travelling to the airport.

Travel expert Simon Calder also reminded passengers to ensure they had the correct travel insurance before departing the island.

"The main problem is medical conditions which have not been properly disclosed," he said.
