Attempted murder charge after town centre stabbing
A man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in a Devon town, police have said.
Officers were called to Ilfracombe High Street at 19:00 BST on Tuesday and Devon and Cornwall Police said a man in his 30s suffered knife wounds.
James Lammas, 55, of Ilfracombe, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife/bladed article in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody until 10 October when he is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court.
