Hunt after man absconds from prison

A man who is serving a seven-year sentence for aggravated burglary with intent has absconded from an open prison.

Suffolk Police said Ricky Wall, 23, was reported missing at about 09:00 BST on Saturday when he did not turn up for roll call at Hollesley Bay Prison, close to Woodbridge.

He was described as 6ft (1.8m) with brown hair and eyes, and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a dark green tracksuit and trainers.

Anyone who spotted him was asked to contact the police.

Hollesley Bay is a prison and young offender institution for about 500 men who are over 18.

It is made up of nine residential units across more than 85 acres of land.
