The Dartford Crossing bridge over the Thames has reopened after a "serious incident".

were called to the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge at Thurrock at 09:00 BST following concerns for the welfare of a man.

All emergency services were called to the bridge, which carries clockwise M25 traffic from Essex to Kent.

National Highways to say traffic was moving again, but there would be 90-minute delays caused by eight miles of congestion.

A National Highways spokesperson added: "Please allow plenty of time for delays to clear."
