A cyclist is being sought by police following the rape of a woman in Ascot.

Thames Valley Police said the woman, in her 20s, was attacked as she walked along a footpath near Station Hill on 21 June between 23:00 and 23:30 BST.

The force said it was looking to identify a man in his 20s described as white, of average height and slim build, wearing a dark top with the hood up.

Police said he was riding a dark coloured bike which was thought to have yellow detailing.

The woman is being supported by specially trained officers.

Extra police patrols have been put on in the area with officers urging anyone with any information or dashcam footage to come forward.

The force said no-one had been arrested.
