Residents of an Aberdeen care home were not supported by staff to use the toilet and missed their twice-weekly showers, an inspection has found.
Fairview House Care Home was rated weak in three categories by the Care Inspectorate during the visit in April.
Buzzers were unanswered by staff for extended periods when people wanted support, with one resident seen banging the table for attention.
Operator Barchester Healthcare said it had now made "significant improvements".
The Care Inspectorate report raised concerns about how Fairview House supports the wellbeing of the 99 residents.
One relative told the inspectors that despite staff saying residents were to be showered twice weekly, this did "not always happen".
Other weaknesses were identified regarding the management of medication and ensuring medicine was given as prescribed.
A spokeswoman for Barchester Healthcare said: "We are developing a detailed action plan in response to the findings of the Care Inspectorate’s report.
"We are committed to working alongside the Care Inspectorate to address all concerns, and are confident that we will make swift progress to ensure that we exceed the improvement requirements."
