A motorbike rider was seriously injured in a crash on Thursday morning, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a car and motorbike were involved in the crash between Two Post Cross and South Langaton Bridge in Spreyton near Okehampton, Devon, at about 07:50 BST on Thursday.

Officers said the male motorbike rider was treated at the scene by paramedics before being flown by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, having "sustained serious injuries".

The road was closed after the incident and reopened at 11:50, police added.
