Train lines between Southampton Central and Salisbury have reopened after an earlier signalling fault.

All lines between the two stations were blocked and disruption had been expected to last until about 11:00 BST.

Earlier, Great Western Railway apologised to passengers and confirmed tickets would be accepted on valid South Western Railway services via Reading and Portsmouth Harbour.

It added that replacement road transport had been requested.
