A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Tristan Sherry in a restaurant in the Republic of Ireland on Christmas Eve.

Mr Sherry, 26, died after he was assaulted during a gun attack at Browne's Steakhouse in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

22-year-old Michael Andrecut, with an address at Sheephill Avenue, was arrested by Gardaí (Irish police) on Friday night.
