Family's tribute to beloved grandfather after fatal crash
A family has paid tribute to their "much loved" grandfather who died in a crash in Edinburgh.
John Fairgrieve, 75, was driving a silver Ford C-Max which crashed on the A1 at the Newcraighall junction at about 09:00 on Saturday.
He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he later died.
Mr Fairgrieve's family said they were grateful that no-one else had been hurt in the crash and were deeply saddened by their loss.
They added: "We would like to give our thanks to all the emergency services for the care and support they provided and also to those that stopped to help at the scene.鈥
