Police investigating the death of a young woman in a road accident in south London in August have made a fresh witness appeal.

Carolina Ramirez Jimenez, 23, was a pillion passenger on a Yamaha motorbike when she was found injured on Silverthorne Road in Battersea and taken to hospital with a serious head injury and later died.

Officers have confirmed they could not find any vehicles that may have been involved in the incident, which happened at 02:30 BST on 1 August.

Two men, aged 23 and 34, have been arrested on suspicion of motoring offences, which include causing death by dangerous driving. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said the force had been "carrying out a range of further enquiries since it happened".

In a fresh appeal for witnesses on Saturday, detectives urged anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen the motorbike or a dark-coloured Range Rover, or who had dash cam footage, to get in touch.
