A teenager has been arrested after disorder in Bordesley Green, Birmingham.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested on Friday on suspicion of violent disorder and is currently in custody for questioning.

Police said they had acted on information provided by the public, after making an appeal around disorder on Monday 5 August.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Our message is clear: we will not tolerate disorder in our towns and cities or those who use social media to encourage criminal acts."

The force is still looking to trace suspects in connection to the disorder and has an online gallery with images of them.

An online portal has also been set up where people can send in any information or footage they have in connection with the Bordesley Green disorder.
