Rangers could return to patrolling parts of Highlands
Seasonal patrol rangers could return to parts of the Highlands, should councillors decide to allocate funding to finance the roles.
Highland Council is currently to cover Sutherland until October, but said a decision over how they would be paid would be made by local councillors.
The adverts come after the ranger service ceased at the end of March, when funding from public body NatureScot ended.
Should councillors give the go-ahead, salaries would be covered through local committees' shares of the council's community regeneration fund.
