A school was evacuated after firefighters were called to reports of an unidentified substance.
The non-suspicious substance was found at Co-op Academy on Westport Road in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, with students asked to leave at about 14:30 GMT as a precaution.
"Due to an unforeseeable technical difficulty the Academy will be closing shortly and students will be dismissed from the premises," a Facebook post read.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said the substance was not suspicious and firefighters were due to leave the scene about 17:00 GMT.
In 2023, the school had 1,119 pupils on its roll.
