Man in critical condition after street attack

A man is in a critical condition following a reported assault in Penzance town centre, police have said.
Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called out to the incident in Market Place at about 03:40 BST on Sunday.
A local man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, the force said.
Police added an 18-year-old from Penzance, arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and on suspicion of possessing a controlled Class A drug, had been bailed until 16 September.
A spokesperson for the force said officers were continuing to investigate the incident.
