Man charged over crash death at bus stop
A man has been charged after a 19-year-old man was killed when a car crashed into a bus stop.
Joe Scott, of Blakelaw, Newcastle, died on 15 October after being struck by a BMW in West Denton Way, which also left two women injured.
Northumbria Police said a 22-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury, failing to stop and driving while above the legal limit for drugs.
He is due to appear at Newcastle Magistrates鈥 Court on Monday.
He is also charged with failing to stop after a road accident and driving without insurance.
Two other men arrested in connection with the crash, aged 21 and 24, face no further action, police said.
