Man, 55, arrested over e-scooter theft claim
A man has been arrested on suspicion of numerous offences after being detained by members of the public.
Police were called to Macon Way, Crewe at about 18:45 BST on Tuesday over allegations an e-scooter and a bike wheel had been stolen.
A 55-year-old from Nantwich was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, attempted theft, assault by beating, and possession of Class B and C drugs.
The man was assisting officers with their inquiries, said Cheshire Police.
