Eight people have been arrested by police investigating drugs and money-laundering offences.

Three men were arrested when police stopped a vehicle in London Road, Thetford, Norfolk, on Sunday.

Further inquiries led officers to an address in Great Yarmouth, where five more arrests were made.

The eight people have all been released on bail pending further investigations, police said.

The driver and two passengers - all men aged in their 20s - were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug and money laundering.

One was also arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation, and another on suspicion of an immigration offence.

All three were taken to Wymondham Police investigation centre for questioning.

Police then went to an address in Admiralty Road in Great Yarmouth, where a large quantity of cash was found.

A man and a woman, both in their 40s, and a woman and two men in their 30s, were arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

They were taken to Great Yarmouth police station for questioning.

Police have carried out searches of the property and asked for anyone with information to contact them.
