Strong winds forecast for the country are likely to bring travel disruption and power losses, the Met Office has warned.

Forecasters have issued a yellow weather warning for a large swathe of the East of England.

In particular, coastal routes and seafront communities can expect large waves as well as delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges, .

The warning will remain in place from midnight tonight until 21:00 GMT on Thursday, it said.
