Cyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in crash

A cyclist was taken to hospital after being seriously injured in a collision with a car outside Doncaster Racecourse.
The 76-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash involving a white Audi 1 on Leger Way at about 16:50 BST on Monday, police said.
The driver of the Audi remained on scene to assist officers with their inquiries, according to South Yorkshire Police.
The road was closed from Leicester Avenue to the Bennetthorpe roundabout while investigations were carried out, but was later reopened.
