House shut down over drug and violence issues
- Published
A house has been shut down in response to complaints of violence, drug use and damage.
The closure order for the property in Castlegate, Penrith, was granted to Cumbria Police by a court on Monday.
It means anyone other than the police, landlord or tenant found in the property could be arrested.
Sgt Martyn Irving said officers will work with other groups and individuals to ensure the three-month order is respected.
