'Loud bang' heard in town sparks investigation
Reports of a "loud bang" that caused concern to people living in a North Yorkshire town have been investigated by police and fire crews.
The noise was thought to have been heard at an address on Knaresborough Road, Harrogate, at about 20:45 BST on Thursday.
Emergency crews had since carried out investigations in the area, but found no sign of a fire or explosion, nor any sign of anyone with injuries, police said.
Anyone with information about what had happened, or who had CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, was asked to get in touch with North Yorkshire Police.
