Man arrested for causing unnecessary suffering to dog

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to a dog.
The incident happened in Bristol Gardens, in Brighton, at about 20:05 BST on 11 August.
A 36-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested in connection with the incident, which involved a dog he was walking, police said.
He has since been released on bail with conditions, including not to be in control of a dog in public.
The dog has been left in the care of a family member, police said.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or captured it on video is urged to contact police.
