Woman, 82, in critical condition after crash

An 82-year-old woman was left in a 鈥渃ritical鈥 condition after being injured in a crash in Leeds, police have said.

The collision happened on Rawdon Road in Horsforth at about 14:00 BST, according to West Yorkshire Police.

The woman was driving a blue Ford Fiesta when it was involved in a collision with a red Audi S3, officers said.

The air ambulance attended the scene of the incident and the injured woman was taken to hospital.

The road remained closed on Thursday evening, with police urging people to avoid the area.

Anyone who witnessed the crash was urged to contact West Yorkshire Police.
