Girl, 9, dies after being hit by bus
A nine-year-old girl who was hit by a bus in south-east London last weekend has died.
The girl was hit along with her five-year-old brother on Watling Street, near the junction with Halcot Avenue, in Bexleyheath, shortly after 09:00 BST on Saturday while with a family member.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died on Monday afternoon.
The driver of the bus was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and drug-driving and has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
The boy was also taken to hospital, as a precaution.
