Three teenagers arrested on suspicion of rape

Three teenagers have been arrested following an alleged rape in North Tyneside.
Northumbria Police received a report of rape in the area of Tynemouth Priory and Castle shortly after 15.50 GMT on Sunday.
A force spokesperson said three boys, all aged 15, had been arrested on suspicion of rape.
“An investigation was immediately launched by police, and the female victim continues to be supported by specialist officers," the spokesperson added.
The teenagers have since been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
