Plans to build 130 homes in a Staffordshire village have been submitted.

A planning application lodged with South Staffordshire District Council proposes a new estate on land next to Bilbrook Mill in Codsall.

According to the application, 40% of the homes would be affordable, and a green corridor created in a bid to enhance biodiversity.

The estate would be accessed via Pendeford Mill Lane with footpaths provided on either side of the access road.

Residents have until 8 February to submit comments to planning officers at the local authority.

This news was gathered by the Local Democracy Reporting Service which covers councils and other public service organisations.
