Police were called on Sunday as concerns were raised about the welfare of a man believed to be under the influence of drugs in Harrogate.
He was found to be in possession of a large amount of cash and suspected class A drugs, North Yorkshire Police said.
The incident prompted the search of a house, where weapons, suspected drugs and cash were found.
Body armour, handcuffs and a protective shield were also among the items recovered.
A 20-year-old man, a 27-year-old man, a 33-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested and released under investigation.
They were held on suspicion of offences including being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.
