Community project under way for armed forces
A project has started in east Devon which is dedicated to former members of the armed forces.
Work has begun to build the June Best Sanctuary Garden opposite the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre in Lympstone.
Volunteers helping build the garden included past and present members of the armed forces, their friends and families, organisers said.
Colin Robertson, from Splash Projects, who has been involved with project since the start, said the garden was a space which was a "quiet place and a place for reflection".
He said: "Lots of people go through a lot of difficulties post time in the military and we believe that this will be a really great space."
