Murder arrest over woman's hotel death
A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a woman was found at a hotel in Surrey.
Surrey Police officers were called to Pennyhill Park Hotel, Bagshot, at about 08:43 BST on Sunday by South East Coast Ambulance Service after the body of a woman in her 50s was discovered.
A 60-year-old man from Devon has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
It is believed the victim and suspect were known to each other.
Surrey Police said the woman's family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Det Insp Debbie Birch said: "Our thoughts are with the victim鈥檚 family at this difficult time."
Ms Birch said a specialist team of officers were working "around the clock" to follow up on leads.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact police.
