Large cannabis factory found at derelict warehouse
- Published
About 600 cannabis plants have been found at a derelict warehouse in Nottinghamshire.
Officers discovered the cannabis factory in Edwin Street, Daybrook, at 12:20 GMT on Tuesday.
The plants are estimated to have a street value of more than £500,000, said police.
Two men, aged 20 and 27, have been arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis.
Nottinghamshire Police said concerns about the warehouse were raised after cables were spotted bypassing an electric meter, posing a fire risk.
Officers gained entry to the building and found the plants spread over four large rooms.
They have now been removed from the site and "an array of sophisticated growing equipment has been put beyond use", police added.
