Inquest to be held after man's death at RAF base
A full inquest will be held into the death of a man serving in the Royal Air Force who was found dead at a base in North Yorkshire.
Malik Bunton, 21, who was born in Bury St Edmunds, was reported missing by colleagues at RAF Leeming near Northallerton, and later found dead at the base on 17 July 2023.
North Yorkshire Coroner Catherine Cundy told a pre-inquest review on Wednesday she would decide on a date for the inquest once she received the evidence she needed from witnesses.
She added the inquest would also explore an earlier incident when he went into the River Ouse in the months before his death.
