Senior officer faces hearing over assault claim

A senior police officer has been accused of assaulting two women while off duty.
According to the allegations against Avon and Somerset Police's Insp Tola Munro, which , the incident happened on 6 May, 2023.
Insp Munro, who works in south Bristol and is the former president of the National Black Police Association, now faces a misconduct hearing, the Local Democracy Reporting Service reports.
The hearing, which will start on 29 July, will be overseen by a legally qualified chair who is independent of policing.
