- Published
Search and rescue helicopters and coastguard vessels were deployed on Sunday after reports that two girls might be about to get cut off by the incoming tide.
Norfolk Police said a member of the public was worried after seeing the girls walking at low tide at Burnham Overy Staithe at about 21:36 BST.
Emergency teams from Hunstanton and Wells were sent out to help with the search, but police said no-one matching the girls' description was found or reported missing and the search was called off at about 03:47.
HM Coastguard said: "An extensive search of the area was conducted and nothing untoward was found."
