Arrest as illegal vapes and weapons found at shop
A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing and a weapons offence at a vape shop.
Police and trading standards officers visited the Vape-Tech shop on High Street, Evesham, on Monday after concerns that cannabis-based vape products and other illegal vapes were being sold.
Alongside suspected illegal vapes with a street value of about 拢3,000, 10 cannabis vapes, knives, a baseball bat, axe and mobile phones were found, said West Mercia Police.
The 36-year-old has been released on bail as the investigation continues.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
"This planned operation was in response to community concerns around the illegal sale of vapes and cannabis-based vapes which are also illegal," said PC Adam Johns.
"We found evidence of both items at the premises, as well as weapons, resulting in a man鈥檚 arrest," the officer added.
