Man arrested after serious assault on woman

A man has been arrested following a serious assault on a woman in Kent, police have said.
The woman was found with facial injuries at 10:30 BST on Saturday in Underhill Road, Folkestone.
She was taken to a local hospital where she remains.
A man in his 20s, who was known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, police said.
He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
Kent Police appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
Det Sgt Hannah Knight said: "I would like to reassure the community that we are treating the incident as isolated and are not looking for anyone else in connection to the assault."
