Plans to build training hub at bus depot
A bus company is hoping to extend one of its depots and build new staff training facilities, it has been revealed.
Stagecoach has submitted plans to Cumberland Council proposing to extend its Willow Holme Industrial Estate site in Carlisle.
The company wants to build the new training centre on the east of the site which is currently a car park.
It claimed if permission is granted it would "improve working conditions for staff".
"It has been carefully designed for the applicant company to meet their operational requirements and will not appear inappropriate in design terms," a report to the council, seen by the Local Democracy Reporting Service, said.
