An investigation is under way in Sheffield after a series of racist graffiti was scrawled on city centre buildings, including a church.

South Yorkshire Police said they were treating the incidents as racially aggravated criminal damage.

The graffiti was written on several buildings on Norfolk Street, George Street and Wharf Street on 18 August.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have information and have asked anyone who recognises him to get in touch with them.
