Teenager hit by car after collapsing into road
A teenager is being treated in hospital for life-threatening injuries after she fell into a road and was hit by a car, police have said.
It happened on Rochdale Road in Greetland, near West Vale Primary School, at about 08:15 GMT on Thursday, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.
The girl "collapsed into the road" and was hit by a black Tesla Model Y car which was travelling from Stainland Road up Rochdale Road, towards Saddleworth Road, they added.
Officers appealed for anyone who saw what happened, or who had video footage from the scene or any other information which could help the investigation, to get in touch.
