A pedestrian has died three days after a crash on a dual carriageway.

The man, in his 70s, was involved in a collision with a van on the A405 at Chiswell Green, near St Albans, at about 16:05 BST on 26 June, Hertfordshire Police said.

He died three days later from his injuries, the force added.

Officers said the collision involved a grey Citroen van.

A man, 43, from Hemel Hempstead, arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless and inconsiderate driving, has been released on police bail.

The force, which has only just released the information, has appealed for anyone with information and dash-cam footage to come forward.
