Girl, 10, injured after being hit by car
A 10-year-old girl has been taken to hospital with a leg injury after she was struck by a car in a village.
She was near the Royal Oak pub in Scotby, Cumbria, when she was hit by a black Volkswagen Tiguan at about 19:35 BST, police said.
The girl was taken to Cumberland Infirmary for treatment. The driver of the car was uninjured.
Cumbria Police appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
No-one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Cumbria Police closed the centre of Scotby village to traffic while emergency services attended the scene.
