A man has been arrested after his car damaged several police vehicles during a near two-mile pursuit in Glasgow.

Detectives said the suspect, 34, failed to stop on Saracen Street, Possil, when signalled by officers at about 08:40.

Police Scotland said the car was eventually "brought to a stop" on Newton Street, Charing Cross, but there were no reported injuries.

The man was charged in connection with road traffic offences and is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
