One airlifted to hospital after two-vehicle crash
Two people have been hurt in a two-vehicle crash on a rural road in Dumfries and Galloway.
Emergency services were called to the collision at about 11:15 on the B7085 between Port William and Whauphill.
The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed one person had been airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and another taken by road to Dumfries Infirmary.
Police reported that the road had been blocked as a result of the accident and urged drivers to avoid the area if possible.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it had rescued two casualties before transferring them to the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
