Assault charge after police spat at in pub

A man has been charged with assaulting two police officers who were spat at in a pub.
The Warwickshire Police officers were responding to a report of a man causing a disturbance at a pub in the village of Mancetter.
As the officers arrested the suspect in the Blue Boar Inn, he is alleged to have spat at them.
The man is due to appear before Warwickshire Magistrates鈥 Court on 1 May charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and one count of being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
